A structured, progressive pathway — from observation to complete surgical independence.
Focused on orientation, core ophthalmology training, and diagnostic workup, this phase builds a strong foundation in patient evaluation, advanced investigations, and observation of clinical and OT workflows.
Fellows begin active OT and outreach postings, gaining supervised surgical experience in procedures such as CXL, PRK, and LASIK, while managing real-world patient cases.
Fellows progress to advanced procedures with greater surgical independence, including Streamlight PRK, Femto LASIK, SMILE, INTACS, and CAIRS, along with peripheral postings, culminating in the final exit examination.
