She earned a certificate from the B.J. Medical College in Pune and a DNB in ophthalmology from the Sankara Eye Hospital in Coimbatore. Then, she completed medical retina fellowship from Lions nab Eye Hospital in Miraj. She worked as a senior resident at B.J. Medical College after completing her phacoemulsification training at H V Desai Eye Hospital. She spent two years working as a consultant at the Poona Hospital and Research Center in Pune.
