She earned a certificate from the B.J. Medical College in Pune and a DNB in ophthalmology from the Sankara Eye Hospital in Coimbatore. Then, she completed medical retina fellowship from Lions nab Eye Hospital in Miraj. She worked as a senior resident at B.J.
